Before we get to the favorites from Etsy this week, I would like to apologize for being a little MIA on the blog, facebook, and just about everywhere else!  But like any good apology, I have an excuse to go with it (hopefully one you'll appreciate!)  I am SO determined to get this new shop up and running ASAP.  I have set the deadline for myself for November 1st, but really would LOVE it to open sooner, but I am realizing that it is SO much work, to take, edit, and perfect all these pictures.  So here is a look at one of the accomplishments this week:

Friday Favorites...

It's Friday again.  It's amazing to me how different this Friday feels than last.  I knew fall was coming, but it came so quickly.  Last Friday, I was thinking it was TOO warm out (I am a true Pacific Northwest Native... if it's over 60, I'm melting!) This Friday I am dressing my family in fall clothes, scarves, puffy vests, and possibly attending the first high school football game of the year... it's definitely fall.  Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte here I come, for you seal the deal on the season!

Meet the Family...

I figured it's about time that I introduce the Jones clan.  Pretty sure I'll be talking about them on here regularly so here goes....

Title:  The Husband
AKA: Dave, Jonesie, Love, Daddy
Interests: Family, Mixed Martial Arts, Random Facts
Current Favorite Quote: "Hey, Hey, For Real, Real, Not For Play, Play"  <--- he only says it because he knows it annoys me

and yes he makes this face regularly! 

Title:  The Boy

AKA: Kaleb, Rampage, K, Pangolin, Bug, Monkadillo, Bugallo 

Interests: Anything SUPER HERO, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Star Wars.  He's all boy!

Current Favorite Quote:  "For Real Life"  <--- God only knows where he got that!

he's the one on the right. He's always on the move, and I do a horrible job of taking his picture regularly. I'm working on it.  But this is usually how you find him anyways, playing super heros with his cousins!

Title: The Dog

AKA: Morgan (really usually MORGAN!), my dog, beautiful girl

Interests: Keeping watch on the house and neighborhood (she takes her job very seriously.  I imagine her like a mall security gaurd that takes their job WAY too seriously!), making the best sleeping dent on the couch, snoring, chasing balls

Current Favorite Quote:  "BARK, BARK, BARK, BARK, BARK" <-- it's usually non stop, unless she is snoring!

Title:  The Puppy

AKA:  Cash, Puppy Cash, Little Boy, Sweet Boy

Interests:  Staying as close to his family as possible, Love, Love, and more Love.  We joke that this dog has a hole in his love tank.  He can never get enough. Oh, and digging. Usually out of the yard because no one is paying attention to him, and he thinks there is someone to love him on the other side.

Current Favorite Quote:  "You're home, Pet me!"

There you have it! Oh, and we have 2 of the cutest greatest guinea pigs in the world, aptly named by Daddy after Super Heros.  Peter Porker (named after Spiderman - Peter Parker), and Edward Pygma (named after the Ridler - Edward Nygma). And a fish, everyone needs at least one fish, it's a blue beta, named Nemo.

Hi! and Friday Favorites...

Ok first off I have to apologize for being a little MIA this week.  I have been super busy in all my "spare" time working on the new Etsy shop.  The status you ask?  90% of the standard charms are made, all the bead charms, the metal charms, some upgrades... It almost feels like I am there, but then I remember I have so much more to make, and everyday I come up with new ideas!  I really want to start the shop strong, have the best options, offer the best product right out of the gate... so I am adding to the already fabulous jewelry the following:

- 16 mm last name charms, or last name Monograms!

- Activities charms (I think I mentioned this before) - baseball, football, golf, music, etc.

- Stamped inspirational words - believe, strenght, hope

- Crystal birthstones

- Bezel set stone upgrades

... oh and the list goes on and on... thank you for being patient, I promise it'll be worth the wait!

Friday Favorites...

With the last ha-rah of summer this week, I thought for sure I didn't have very many favorites. But I guess it was all in my head.  Amazing how fast things you want add up!  

This first one I am dying for... first I need to make my antique door kitchen table I have been planning for the last year though!

There's An App For That....

Oh what did we do before ipods, iphones, and apps?  Today an app came to my rescue, and I'm not afraid to admit that! I recently purchased 27 new colors for the new custom charm jewelry shop.  Now that I am caught up on several custom orders, I am devoting more time to getting this shop up and running...

My main project today was to get the "color options" picture done.  Although the last picture functions fine, I wanted this one to be much more professional.  I also wanted to ensure that the colors were true so that it was easier for customers to pick from. 

I had done my research, I knew what I wanted it to look like.  I knew I had mastered Photoshop a little more since the last color options picture.  I was ready, I was excited, I was motivated...

.... after 15 tries, in different lighting, different camera settings, different poses.... I was ready to give up!  None of the colors looked correct when uploaded.  SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING!

So I took a nap!  Waking up refreshed I thought to go to the wholesaler's website to see if they have pictures I can choose from.  Although I buy the archival paper locally (I don't go through enough to meet the minimum order requirement!)  I figured it would be a good shot. 


... AND TADA!  THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT! The wholesaler has an app that you can look up the color by name, family, or style.  It then gives you all the information you could ever want about the color, but in particular... the RGB values.  Which specify the exact color of the paper! 

NOW LOOK!  So amazing, and such true colors!  You're sure to get exactly what you want and expect when ordering!  YEAH!

Friday Favorites...

It's a TGIF kind of Friday for me for sure!  So excited for the long weekend!  We have no special plans, and like it that way! Hopefully just enjoying some quality time as a family, with my great husband, and awesome little boy!  But before the weekend starts, let's check out the great finds I had on Etsy this week!
